Journey to the Deep
This exhibition was on display at MICA's fall show, Extra Bold Condensed, October 16 - October 30, 2015. For this exhibition, I studied aquatic life and various marine conservations. I then designed and illustrated five unique deep sea creatures. The installation was created by handcrafting five 24x36" lightboxes from scratch. For the exhibition, the lightboxes were hung in a pitch dark room, creating a beautiful illumination of the creatures. In addition, five small boxes were mounted under each creature so that viewers could reach in and "feel the creatures texture". The textures closely resembled the uniqueness of each marine animal.
